Duane's Birthday Weekender

  

We enjoyed a great weekend away at Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujuirah, another Emirate in the UAE.  We stayed 2 nights and Duane had his birthday not working which was a nice change from all the weekends he has been busy at work.

We had a great time swimming in the pool and generally enjoying life.  Eloise loved it.  Her swimming has really picked up over the weekend and she kicks and kicks and kicks.  We can now dunk her and let her go and she kicks her way up to the surface.  Very cool - although a lot of people watching were giving us some strange looks.  I don't think they thought you should be dunking your 10 month old under water deliberately! 

Duane had a great birthday and apart from someone being awake at 5am to help their Dad open his presents, it was a very relaxing day.

Duane awoke to find a birthday message on the beach.  Unfortunately the tide had other plans.  

Eventually the man responsible for the writing managed to finish it before it was washed away.  Unfortunately after so many attempts he forgot all the letters!!
