On February 9 we enjoyed a day out in Abu Dhabi at the AFL. Adelaide and Collingwood came across to play one of their pre-season matches here. It was really great to get a taste of sport from home and a bit sad to think the only game of AFL I will get to see live, will be this one. Unfortunately we had to tag team to watch the match as it was too hot and sunny for Eloise in the grandstand. I watched Eloise in the shade of the grandstand (completely unable to see a thing) for the first quarter and then Duane very graciously let me watch the remaining quarters, while he sat out the back in the shade with Eloise. After all I'm the AFL fanatic in this house! A fun time was had by all, even Eloise enjoyed crawling around on the grass, which is not something she gets to do very often!
