Holiday in Perth

Eloise and I embarked on our journey to Perth on 2nd July. I was extremely nervous and anxious about the flight after our last horrific flight last year where Eloise cried for about three quarters of the journey. We managed to have a busy, hectic and moderately stressful flight but it was OK and landed safely in Perth early in the morning. Eloise was completely zonked by this stage (having been awake for 18 hours) so slept all the way to Mum & Dad's and then transferred quite easily and even gave me a sleep in - waking at about 9.30 the following morning. Our holiday had started reasonably well. That is when it all turned upside down as by the end of our first day, I had started to feel horribly unwell. From there I spent the whole two weeks feeling ill off and on, having some kind of stomach bug (working this out after seeing 2 different doctors) of which antibiotics wouldn't/didn't work (we found out after I'd gone to great lengths to get some antibiotics). Basically, I just had to put up with it and would feel better in 2-4 weeks. Poor Duane had the same bug and we experienced our waves of feeling OK and then not so good almost at the same time - on the other side of the world! I was not impressed being sick on our holiday! So unfortunately there were many missed catch ups as I cancelled on a lot of people, and didn't get to do many of the things on my lists. I'm sorry we didn't get to see everyone! On the upside, we got to spend a lot of time at Mum & Dad's and they were a great help with Eloise when I was feeling green.
Here are some of the photos from our time home.
Eloise with Uncle Chris & Aunty Rhonda With Uncle Mark after footy training Having fun watching Uncle Chris blowing bubbles Look at all the bubbles! With cousin Lachlan - I don't know who was cracking who up! Eloise Ballerina Princess Eloise - spoilt by Nanna with a cute outfit. With Bronwyn With Nanna & Aunty Judith Having fun with Sasha - poor Sasha spent the whole 2 weeks hiding from Eloise chasing her. Eloise, on the other hand, thought Sasha was just the best thing. Meeting Great Nanna Doyle's garden gnome With Great Nanna Doyle. Deciding that standing in Sasha's bowl is good fun With James With Grandad showing off my new Ugg Boots from Uncle Mark Heading home - I shouldn't really post this photo because it makes it look like Eloise was a travelling dream - BUT she stayed like this for 30 minutes - and was then a terror for the rest of the 10.5 hours!! But cute photo anyway.
